It’s all about evidence

I love playing basketball. However, I had more than 6 months gap playing basketball until yesterday. Finally, I gathered the courage to hit the court to take some shots. And to my hunch, I was throwing all airballs. I kept continuing through at the hoop. After literally 10 minutes of shooting, I scored one basket. The next one didn’t take much time. And I’ve ended the workout really well with a few good shots.
This made me think about what went wrong in the first 10 minutes of the shooting? It is the evidence. Evidence that I have my previous training memory. Evidence that I could score a basket and Evidence that the next basket isn’t far away.
Then how can we do something that has never been achieved so far? I believe visualisation helps. I’ve tried visualisation first when I was in high school. I imagined that I was solving Rubik's cube really fast. I would close my eyes and just imagine me moving the bricks so fast and solving the cube. Over time I’ve found resources online on how to solve Rubik cube, and now indeed, I could solve the cube fast and move my fingers fast to organise the cube. And, the technique has helped even more dramatically in my college admission into one of the most prestigious colleges in my country. I imagined walking on the streets of my college and sitting in the class listening to lectures. Over time, I took actions that would take me closer to my imagination. Finally, I was being interviewed for getting admission into the college. At one point, the interviewer asks: You have mentioned that you read books. What all books did you read? Among other books, I’ve mentioned the book Secret—the book where I learnt about visualisation. Dramatically, the interviewers tested my knowledge in just that book, and I was admitted to the college.
I believe the secret is real. The more we think and imagine ourselves in a certain action, the more evidence we create that it could happen. And in some time, the action would manifest. We go ahead and say the dream came true. Because, yes. The future is already here. It’s just not evenly distributed.
Thank you for reading. I would love to know what you think about this idea? Do you have similar incidences like mine owing to visualisation? Or Were you tired of visualizing something that never manifested. I would read them all.
See you at the next :)
