How to Achieve Teleportation?

Teleportation is one of the most common answers when someone answers the question which super power would you aspire the most? Technology has evolved so much that, scientists have achieved many things which otherwise are thought to be impossible. Airplanes, telecommunication, among many others, are believed to be impossible until demonstrated.

Well, can we achieve teleportation? I believe we can achieve teleportation in the near future. It would require the help of advancements in augmented reality, humanoid robots, haptics, sensors and a combined treadmill and a step climber.

Humanoid Robot

The robot from the Boston Dynamics; Atlas has achieved many signifiant milestones. It can now walk and run at a decent pace. The robot has got parkour skills too! Check out the video for the context.

Overtime the robots can come for cheap price and can be remotely rented and operated. I can think of a hundred things that can go wrong with the previous statement. However, the company that provides remote robot hiring services can take responsibility of checks and balances and provide the service of giving customers chance to rent the robots and get them remotely operated by the individuals.

Mixed Reality

The video transmitted by the robot should be viewed on a mixed reality goggles where the whole experience the robot is present in, is shown to the consumer in first person perspective.

Haptics

The sensors in the robots collect information like wind speed, temperature, humidity and the special teleportation room shall be having robust haptics technology to simulate the same environmental conditions in the room where the person is experiencing the technology.

Combined Treadmill and Step Climber

The real world scenarios of walking, walking up the steep slope, climbing steps can be simulated by an innovative combined treadmill and a step climber that adjusts to the information sent by the sensors in the robot that was hired in the other part of the world.

With all the above in place, we could get the closest to teleportation.

However, honestly I am not saying that it would be 100% possible. However, some manifestation of teleportation by which ever technology would be possible and inevitable. The purpose of this blog is not, to give a technological solution to a super power but merely to start conversation or provoke the viewer on the potential ways to achieve it and what would we do in a world it's possible.

There are hundreds of ways one can think of as to how such a technology can be misused. Wrapping our head around the complexity and utility to the society is an interesting avenue to look at.
